Jamie began clogging at 12 years old. By age 14 he started teaching and at 16 became the youngest Certified Instructor in Florida at that time! Jamie, along with his Mom Debbie Conn formed a performance group called Clogging Connection. It wasn’t long before they took a competition stage and he and his Mom successfully ran a competition clogging team for more than 35 years. The award winning team won more titles and trophies than there is time to mention. Jamie has dedicated his life to sharing his passion for clogging. He is most happy with a mic in his hand, on a stage, teaching routines at workshops. This fun loving, crazy guy will not only teach you a clogging dance, but will make you laugh and smile the entire time. Known for his crazy antics, don’t let the silliness fool you. He has an incredible amount of talent and knowledge that he is eager to share.
He is a member of the All American team, Team of the Decade and Team of the Millennium through the prestigious America’s Clogging Hall of Fame. He was also named to the United Clogging Associations' Legacy team. In 2022.
He was named Caller of the Year, inducted into the Florida Clogging Council’s Hall of Fame and recently was honored with the Betsey Farlow award for the Preservation of traditional Clogging. He has performed and taught all over the country. He and his better half Maureen joined forces with fellow clogger Matt Koziuk and formed an adult group the East Coast Connection which showcases the most traditional forms of clogging. This group has been 2 time World Champions! Jamie says his favorite part of Clogging is really being backstage with his dancers and giving them the “pep” talk before taking the stage. He is on a personal mission to keep traditional clogging alive!

Hello, I'm Kaley Conn-Kirkland, owner of Studio CC, as well as director of Clogging Connection, located in Lakeland, FL. My background comprises extensive training and experience in various dance styles, with a concentrated focus on Clogging for 29 years. In my earlier years, I was inducted into the 2007 ACHF Junior All American team, and later into the ACHF 2010 team of the decade. I was also inducted into the Cadance National team and, most recently, was a 2022 CCA All Pro inductee and 2023 CCA All Pro Director. At 13 years old, I was the youngest ever certified Florida Clogging Council instructor. I participated in Folkmoot, an international festival, as a member of American Racket cloggers and won the title of Miss Southeastern clogger in 2018. I am presently the titleholder of 2024 Miss American Clogger, co-host the Miss Heart of Clogging pageant, teach at a multitude of workshops and studios across the nation, and hold a range of prestigious titles including CCA national champion duo, reigning NCHC national champion duo/duet, national champion soloist, and have guided my students to multiple National Champion team accolades. By sharing my passion for clogging, I hope to inspire kids to embrace their creativity, build confidence, and become the next generation of talented performers.

Bob Connor started dancing, along with his family as square dancers in the 70s and 80s when clogging started making its entry in Central Florida. Bob started clogging with what became the Orlando Cloggers. Through the next few decades, Bob attended many clogging conventions to hone his skills, meanwhile performing at county and state fairs, parades at Disney World and other venues, Florida Festival, senior living facilities, and parties. Along with other dancers at the time, Bob joined a competition team and placed at competitions in the Southeast, but did not catch the competitive bug. Later, joining a professional clogging group, Fancy Feet Cloggers, and started performing at Central Florida attractions such as Fort Liberty, a dinner show in the Entertainment District in Kissimmee. Bob met his wife, Jeanine, when she moved to Orlando and started dancing with the Orlando Cloggers and Fancy Feet as well. Bob became an international clogger while on a cultural exchange with a Danish folk dance group in Denmark. Bob and Jeanine's two boys learned how to clog, but never had the love for the dance as their parents. Into the 00s Bob became a clogging instructor, got certified by the Florida Clogging Council and took over the beginner/intermediate classes for his mom. Other clogging teams Bob has danced with were the Boo Boo Cloggers, Silver Spur Cloggers, and a few small Florida startup groups that may never have named themselves. One thing Bob believes about clogging is that it should be shared, and visiting with other groups gives a stronger bond with all of us. Outside of clogging, Bob loves to disc golf and cruise.

Becky first started clogging at age 11 with the Fairglen Cloggers, in Cocoa, which later became known as the Shuttle Shufflin’ Cloggers. Becky first started clogging at age 11 with the Fairglen Cloggers, in Cocoa, which later became known as the Shuttle Shufflin’ Cloggers. After a few years break in high school, she danced with the renowned Indian River Cloggers (and became FCC certified around 2000) until graduation from UCF and moving to Jacksonville in 2023, where she joined Pure Energy Cloggers and Electric Rhythm Cloggers. In 2015 she joined Carolina Fusion Cloggers, with whom she won her first National Championship in Smooth Mountain Square Dance (CCA). In 2022 she joined forces with so many legends in Florida and became part of East Coast Connection, with whom she won her second National Championship in Smooth Mountain Square Dance (UCA). (Reportedly, she does know how to clog, too!)
She was Vice President of FCC around 2004/2005. She has taught at State Convention, Pow Wow, Sunshine State Jamboree (Tallahassee and Daytona locations), and NECC in Vermont. If you’ve competed through the years, you probably have seen her working team line up for CCA, NCHC, ACHF, and UCA; or as scorekeeper for ACHF and UCA. Using her technical theatre background, she has been lighting operator for several shows at NCHC National Convention. She was named to the ACHF All-American Team in 2006 and the UCA Legacy Team in 2022.
As a proud member of the Backliners Clogging Team, you can find her most at home at a fun dance calling all the oldies to newer dancers, picking up newer dances, and enjoying the art form that has brought so much fun, joy and friendship (not to mention her husband) to her life over the last 34 years.
Her focus on choreography and instruction is rooted in making workshop and recreation clogging attainable for all. Much of her choreography is for the novice clogger (or someone more advanced who wants a mind break), hoping to ensure a newer dancer feels confident leaving her workshop.
She can’t wait to see you all at the beach!
